GWADAR: Law enforcement agencies on Sunday claimed to have seized around 10,358kg of drugs during raids in Pasni and Ormara areas of Gwadar district.

Official sources said five alleged smugglers were arrested in Ormara from a launch which was being used for smuggling.

According to officials, the seized drugs are worth Rs.15bn in the international market.

In other raids, the navy seized 5,800kg of drugs, including heroin and hashish, from Shalmali Bandan, Mullah Mahjabeen and Ormara areas. Five alleged smugglers were also arrested.

In Pasni, officials seized over 4,500kg of drugs being smuggled through a pickup and camels.
