PESHAWAR, Dec 31: Top seed Rambel Gul book his place in the final after registering victory against Arshad Siddique in the first semifinal of the 14th Frontier Cup snooker on Saturday.

Winner of National Style Snooker-2004, Rambel ousted 2001 title holder Arshad in tough battle by 4-3 frames. Both the players produced excellent snooker in the best of seven frames which was largely enjoyed by the spectators.

Rambel won the first two frames 71-34 and 67-24 but failed to maintain his rhythm in the third and fourth frames by losing 23-72, 34-56.

Arshad played well and even took the lead by winning the fifth frame by 45-76.

But Rambel not to be denied made it 3-3 winning the sixth frame 102-30 which included a break of 80. He made no mistake in the final frame winning 65-33 to ensure a place in the final.
