GUJRANWALA, Dec 31: An express train narrowly escaped head-on collision with a tractor-trolley at Kamoki station on Saturday.

Reports said the train, Tezgam, was on its way to Karachi from Peshawar. When it reached near Kamoki railway station, a tractor-trolley, which was passing through a crossing, got jammed at the track. However, gatekeeper waived a red-flag to the approaching train, which was noticed by its driver who applied emergency breaks. The train fortunately stopped just a few yards away from the tractor-trolley.

Railway police arrested the tractor driver and registered a case against him.
