LAHORE, Dec 30: Six wickets by medium-pacer Umer Hassan enabled PTV to earn a vital 96 runs lead on the first innings against KESC in the Patron’s Trophy Grade II semifinal at Multan Stadium on Friday.

Umer sent down 18 overs and gave away 40 runs as KESC were skittled for 122 in 53.4 overs after resuming at eight runs for two wickets in reply to PTV’s total 218.

Only Sarfraz Ahmed (43 not out) stood firm. PTV further consolidated the lead finishing the day with second innings score of 107-3, increasing the overall lead to 203.

Kashif Naved was undefeated 53 with the aid of five fours off 63 balls.

PTV (1st innings) 218 in 72.2 overs (Suleman Khan 59, Fayyaz Ahmed 44; Nauman Alvi 4-32).And 107-3 (Kashif Naved 53 not out).
