QUETTA: The World Health Organisation (WHO) Representative in Pakistan Dr Palitha Mahipala on Friday inaugurated two telemedicine systems in the central prison.

The WHO has provided support for two telemedicine clinics in the central prison for male and female inmates to provide healthcare services to the inmates.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mahipala said the WHO was also providing technical support in strengthening the health system response and integrated services for gender-based violence in Pakistan.

These services include integrated life-saving healthcare services, including clinical case management, mental healthcare and psycho-social support and referral to multispectral services in development, emergencies and humanitarian settings, including refugee areas.
