QUETTA, Dec 28: Women staged a protest demonstration against the detention of Ali Asghar Bungulzai and Saeedur Rehman Bungulzai and demanded that the government should produce them before a court to prove charges against them.

Protesters assembled outside the press club on Wednesday holding placards and chanting slogans against the governor, chief minister and intelligence agency. They demanded the release of Baloch detainees.

HRCP chairperson Asma Jehangir in her brief speech assured the protesters that the commission would take up the issue.

She urged the government that arrested persons should be produced before the court to prove charges framed against the detainees.
