Sajid and Asad trouble KRL

KARACHI, Dec 28: Pacers Sajid Ali Junior and Asad Ali made Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) batsmen struggled on the opening day of their four-day Patron’s Cricket Trophy Grade-I fourth round match at NBP Sports Complex ground on Wednesday.

Left-arm Sajid took three wickets for 33 runs in 14 overs and right-arm Asad Ali snapped two wickets for 43 runs in 15 overs as KRL crawled to 197 for eight wickets in 83 overs at draw of stumps after inserted to bat first. Third pacer Mahmood Malik got two wickets for 30 in ten overs.

KRL reached 61 for three wickets in 26 overs at lunch and were 136 for six wickets in 60 overs at tea break.

Usman Saeed top-scored with 34 with brace of fours. Mohtashim Ali got 32 also striking two boundaries and Azhar Ali unbeaten on 31 in his 137 minutes vigil at the crease. Saeed Ajmal was 18 not out.
