Pakistan team without physio

Published December 29, 2005

LAHORE, Dec 28: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has surprisingly allowed its women team physiotherapist Mrs Bending Compton to enjoy compassionate leave back home in Cape Town, despite the fact the women team is participating in the ongoing Asia Cup in Karachi.

Bending is the wife of Pakistan men team’ physio Grant Compton. She was appointed as physio of the team specially with the ongoing Asia Cup in mind.

The PCB appointed her setting aside the much-publicised policy of advertising the position in press before filling any post.— By Our Sports Correspondent
