HYDERABAD, Dec 28: Elections for seats of district and taluka naib nazims were held in all districts of Sindh on Wednesday. In Hyderabad, Haq Parast Panel candidate Zafar Rajput was elected the district naib nazim.

HPP’s Shabbar Ali Chishti and Shujauddin, ADP-Taraqqi Pasa-nd Panel’s Hyder Shahani and ADP’s Mir Ashraf alias Ghulam Hussain Talpur were elected naib nazims of City, Latifabad, Qasimabad and Hyderabad (rural) talukas respectively.

TANDO ALLAHYAR: All seats of district and taluka naib nazims were won by government-backed Azad Magsi Ittehad candidates unopposed.

MATIARI: Raees Nooral Khan, backed by the ADP and the Faqir Dost Panel, was elected the naib nazim of the district; ADP’s Kamran Ansari, Hala taluka; FDP-ADP supported Razia Bano, New Saeedabad taluka; and Parvez Memon of the Jamote Ittehad, Matiari taluka. They returned unopposed.

TANDO MOHAMMAD KHAN: Khushhal Pakistan Panel’s Pir Ashfaq Jan Sirhandi was elected the district naib nazim.

Sarfaraz Bhatti of the KPP was elected naib nazim of Tando Mohammad Khan. Ahmad Ali Jagsi of the same group returned unopposed in Tando Ghulam Hyder.

JAMSHORO: ADP’s Abdul Hameed Buledi was elected the district naib nazim.

Dr Saleem Tahir of the ADP was elected the naib nazim of the Kotri taluka; Ali Sher Lashari, Sehwan taluka; Niaz Khoso, Manjhand taluka; and Bijar Khan Khaskheli of the ADP, Thana Bula Khan taluka.

NAWABSHAH: ADP candidate Abdul Haq Jamali won the seat of the district naib nazim.

ADP’s Khan Bahadur Bhatti was elected the Nawabshah taluka nazim. The naib nazim seat of Sakrand taluka was won by Nawabshah Awami Ittehad candidate Ghulam Mustafa Jalalani.

Taluka naib nazims of Daur and Daulatpur returned unopposed.

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: KPP candidate Ali Almani was elected the district naib nazim.

In Naushahro Feroze, Moro, Mehrabpur and Kandiaro talukas, KPP’s Ghulam Hussain Mastoi, Faqir Ghulam Rasool Memon, Kamran Lodhi and Shoukat Sehto were elected naib nazims respectively. The seat of the Bhirya taluka naib nazim was won by ADP’s Abdul Karim Luhrani.

KHAIRPUR: Candidates of the Khairpur Dost Panel were elected naib nazims of the district and seven of eight talukas. One ADP candidate was elected the naib nazim of a taluka.

Mir Dinal Khan Talpur was elected the district naib nazim.

DADU: Dadu Ittehad Panel candidate Syed Mohammad Shah was elected the district naib nazim.

DIP candidates Syed Murad Ali Shah, Imdad Shahani, Shahid Sihole and Ziauddin Sario were elected naib nazims of Dadu, Johi, Khairpur Nathan Shah and Mehar talukas respectively.

MIRPURKHAS: HPP’s Dr Zafar Kamali was elected the district naib nazim.

Mushtaq Ahmad won the naib nazim seat of the Jhuddo taluka; Hashim Bhurgari, Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka; Aftab Arain, Digri taluka; and Ali Nawaz Mari, Hussain Bux Mari taluka. They belonged to the KPP. Haji Hameer Dars of the Faqir Dost Panel was elected the naib nazim of the Sindhri taluka.

SHIKARPUR: Taqi Abbas Kamario returned unopposed as the district naib nazim.

Maulvi Abdul Ghafoor Soomro, backed by the JUI, was elected the naib nazim of the Shikarpur taluka. Hamid Ali Memon, Nooruddin Abro and Hyder Bux Jatoi returned unopposed as naib nazims of Garhi Yasin, Lakhi and Khanpur talukas respectively.

BADIN: Aziz Dero was elected the district naib nazim.

Karim Dino Nuhrio, Mohammad Aslam Arain, Ahsan Bhurgari, Rizwan Kaimkhani and Mohammad Ali Thebo were elected naib nazims of Badin, Shaheed Fazil Rahu, Tando Bago, Matli and Talhar talukas respectively.

UMERKOT: KPP’s Kanwar Hameer Singh was elected the district naib nazim unopposed.

Hafiz Mir Mohammad Nohri of the KPP was elected the naib nazim of the Umerkot taluka; Mumtaz Ali of the Faqir Dost Panel, Samaro taluka; Gul Zaman Chandio of the Jam group, Kunri taluka; and KPP’s Mohammad Aslam Malik, Pithoro taluka.

JACOBABAD: KPP candidate Mir Changez Khan Panhwar was elected the district naib nazim.

Naib nazims were elected unopposed in all three talukas.

In Kashmore, KPP candidate Noor Mohammad Khoso was elected the district naib nazim.

Meenhoon Khan Bhangwar of the ADP, Aftab Domki of the ADP and Mohammad Hanif Domki of the KPP were elected taluka naib nazims of Kandhkot, Tangwani and Kashmore talukas respectively.

SUKKUR: The KPP captured the seat of district naib nazim and most of seats of taluka naib nazims. Abdullah Ghumro was elected the district naib nazim. KPP’s Nawab Samejo was elected the Pano Akil taluka naib nazim. Photo Khan Mangrio was elected unopposed the Salehpat taluka naib nazim.

Altaf Ghanghro was elected the Rohri taluka naib nazim.

THATTA: Candidates of the Shirazi group affiliated with the KPP won all seats of district and taluka naib nazims unopposed.
