Davis Cup squad named

ISLAMABAD, Jan 29: The selection committee of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tuesday picked a five-member squad for next month’s Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group II tie against Malaysia.

The squad will be subject to approval by PTF president Anwar Saifullah Khan.

The selectors who met under the chairmanship of Saeed Hai picked Aisamul Haq, Aqeel Khan and Asim Shafik for the tie. There was a consensus on all three.

The meeting besides Saeed Hai, was attended by Bashir Gill, Nasir Munir and PTF secretary Ali Akbar. Syed Dilawar Abbas, another member meanwhile stayed away from the meeting for unknown reasons.
