KARACHI: 17 cellphones snatched

KARACHI, Dec 27: Robbers had a field day on Tuesday as at least 60 people were robbed of cash, cellular phones and vehicles in various localities. According to police, 17 cellular phones were snatched at gunpoint and 17 others stolen. Three people were shot at and wounded when they resisted bandits in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, New Karachi, and Preedy.

Bandits either snatched or stole 11 cars and 15 motorcycles in different areas. Besides street crime, more than robberies were also reported in which citizens lost millions of rupees cash and valuables.
