SAHIWAL: Four people, including local Na’at khwan Adnan Faridi, were killed while three others suffered injuries in a road accident here on Wednesday at Adda Muhammadnagar on Arifwala-Burewala Road.

Reports said Adnan Faridi, a resident of Pakpattan city, was on his way to Ludhan to attend a Milad event to be held on Wednesday night.

Eyewitnesses said Faridi was driving the car when it collided with a stationary wheat harvester due to speeding. As a result Faridi, two of his students and a friend were killed on the spot while three others suffered injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Faridi, Majid Hussain (16), Ali Waris (8), and Zain Farid (8). The injured include Qari Muhammad Ashraf, Mohsin (11) and Yasir (18).

Rescue 1122 said the passengers were recovered by cutting an iron sheet of the harvester. The injured and the deceased were shifted to Arifwala THQ hospital.
