Minority leader cremated

SHIKARPUR, Jan 29: Sudham Chand Chawla, the slain president of Hindu Panchayat, was cremated in Jacobabad on Tuesday.

Thousands of Hindus and others attended the cremation of the late Chawla. His body was taken to all the Hindu temples of the city in a protest procession. Later, his body was brought to Shamshan Bhoomi, where he was cremated.

The bazaars and trade centres remained closed to mourn the death of Chawla.

Meanwhile, the members of Hindu Panchayat, Jacobabad and Shikarpur have expressed their grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Sudham Chand Chawla and condemned the cruel act of killing by some unknown persons.

They demanded of the Sindh government to arrest the murderers and punish them publicly.
