ISLAMABAD, Dec 26: A three-match women’s netball series between Pakistan and India opens on Friday with the first game here at the Liaquat Gymnasium, officials said.

President of the Pakistan Federation of Netball (PFN), Malik Zafar Iqbal Awan announced the new schedule for the series after it had to be put back because of Indian team’s late arrival.

Originally the matches were to have been played between Dec 22 to 27 but now the series will see two of the games being contested at the start of the New Year.

The second match on Jan 1 will be at Lahore followed by the third and final contest at Hyderabad on Jan 4.

The Indian squad, led by PS Sharma of the netball federation of that country, is to arrive on Dec 28 at the Wagah border in Lahore.
