KARACHI, Dec 26: Teaching for degree classes in colleges affiliated with the Karachi University will commence on Feb 1, it was learnt officially. According to a KU notification issued on Monday, process of admissions to first year BA (pass), BSc(pass) and BCom at colleges affiliated with the KU will commence with the issuance of admission forms from Jan 2.

Last date for the submission of forms and fees for first year admissions has been fixed as Jan 31, while with a late fee of Rs500 forms will be accepted till Feb 28.

The date for the submission of enrolment forms and fees pertaining to first year BA, BSc and BCom classes is March 11. However forms and fees with a late fee of Rs500 could be submitted up to April 10.

Last date for the submission of forms and fee for 2nd year is Feb 25. However, with a late fee of Rs500 admissions can be finalized latest by March 18.

Students having passed HSC are illegible for admissions to degree programmes. However, those who have passed any exam equivalent to HSC are required to submit an equivalence certificate obtained from the Intermediate Board Committee of Chairmen, added the notification.

BCOM INVIGILATION: The KU has also asked college principals to advisem college teachers interested in invigilation duties for BCom (external) annual exams commencing on Dec 30 to contact the KU controller of examinations.
