Adil, Kashif shine

LAHORE, Dec 24: A double century by opener Adil Nisar and a fiery burst by medium-pacer Kashif Raza put Wapda in a commanding position against Service Industries in the Patron’s Trophy Grade I tie at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Saturday.

The left-handed Adil made 232 after starting the day at 145 as Wapda amassed 446 for five in their first innings.

Adil’s 303-ball innings included 33 fours and one six. He added 194 for the third-wicket with Aamir Sajjad, who contributed 81 with seven boundaries and one six off 146 balls.

Kashif then claimed all the four wickets to fall for 45 to have Service Industries struggling.
