LARKANA, Dec 24: Prof (Dr) Ghulam Ali Memon of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences has said that the university is striving hard to create an environment of research.

He was speaking at the sixth annual symposium of the Chandka Medical College here on Friday.

Prof Memon said the university was endeavouring to promote a culture of research in clinical and medical sciences and for that purpose a medical research center had been set up in Jamshoro.

He expressed hope that faculty members of the CMC would benefit from its services.

CMC principal Prof Sikandar Shaikh said the college had now been recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, General Medical Council of England for undergraduate courses.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and LUMHS had also recognized the institution for FCPS, DCPS, MD, MS and other diploma courses.

He said the college had organized an international cardiac conference.
