KARACHI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari returned to his Bilawal House residence after doctors discharged him from hospital, where he had to spend a week for treatment of chest infection.

His personal physician and close aide Dr Asim Hussain announced in a tweet: “President Asif Zardari has recuperated from his illness and been discharged from Hospital to go home.”

During his stay at the Ziauddin Hospital Clifton, a team of senior pulmonologists and other physicians examined him.
