WASHUK: Two bullet-riddled bodies were found in Garai Raghay area of Washuk district on Saturday.

Washuk Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Musakhail told Dawn the deceased had been shot and killed in a mountainous area.

They were identified as Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Garai; and Saifullah, a resident of Panjgur. The bodies were shifted to a nearby rural health centre and handed over to the victims’ families after a formal procedure.

An official source told Dawn one victim, Mr Iqbal, had surrendered in the past after quitting armed struggle and was affiliated with a Baloch separatist militant organisation.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the killings. The Levies Force was investigating the incident, Mr Musakhail said.
