QUETTA Dec 23: About two dozen activists of PPP-Shaheed Bhutto, PPP Parliamentarians and National Party announced here on Friday that they had decided to join the Muttihada Qaumi Movement. They said they had been impressed by the bold stand of Altaf Hussain on military operation in Kohlu and the Kalabagh dam.

Addressing a press conference at the Quetta press club on Friday Abdul Hayee Bungulzai of the PPP-Shaheed Bhutto said that the MQM was a real political force struggling for the rights of the middle class.

He said he and 22 activists of the PPP-Shaheed Bhutto, PPP-Parliamentarians and National Party, who joined the MQM, had been in politics for long time but now they had decided to join the MQM to strive for the rights of people under the leadership of Altaf Hussain.

Mr Bungulzai said that Altaf Hussain was a practical man and he had been steadfast in his political outlook.
