Carjackers’ gangs busted

SARGODHA, Dec 22: Police claimed to have smashed two gangs of car lifters and seized stolen cars and tractor from their possession. DPO Naeem Khan told journalists on Thursday evening that the gang members were being interrogated to recover more cars which, according to the carjackers, had been stolen from Peshawar, Bannu, Naushehra, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sargodha, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh.

The DPO said Satellite Town police recovered 10 cars, a tractor and a motorcycle from the gang comprising Nazir, Munir, Nasarullah and Habibullah.

The other gang comprising Ghulam Rasool, Haji Iqbal, Falak Sher, Basharat and Naveed alias Pomi, led to the recovery of five stolen cars, he added.

He said the second gang was nabbed by Sillanwali police.
