Theft case registered after a year

SIALKOT, Dec 22: The Satrah police have registered a theft case after over a year of the incident. According to FIR, unidentified people had driven away with a tractor-trolley of a local farmer, Nazir Ahmad Mayo, from his outhouse at Taahliwala village in Satrah, Daska tehsil, on Oct 25, 2004. The police registered a case under section 379 PPC just the other day.

Meanwhile, the Daska city police have instituted a case against 10 people for abusing and threatening the college lecturers with dire consequences. The teachers were serving as invigilators.

SUSPENDED: The Gujranwala range DIG has suspended Phalora police station SHO Inspector Qaisar Mushtaq, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf, Sabzpeer police station’s ex-SHO Inspector Husnain Raza, SI Qadeer Husain and SI Khadim Husain on the charges of misusing powers and registering bogus cases against innocent people.—Correspondent
