KARACHI, Jan 29: One of the petitioners challenging the locus standi of the IBA test for admission to the government medical colleges in Sindh has filed an application with the Sindh High Court for revision of the Court’s order of Jan 4.

Petitioner Sonia has filed the application through Ghulam Qadir Jatoi, advocate, under section 151 of CPC.

The revision has been sought on the grounds that sufficient material in the memo of petition exist.

In addition, the petitioner maintained that the performance and acts of the respondent No 2 (IBA) had become suspicious, from the fact that it had acted in violation of the rules of the IBA so far as conduct of the entrance test was concerned. The persons nominated to supervise the test as invigilators were not deputed to do so but in their place the members of administration staff, including clerks and peons, were deputed to do the job of invigilators.

As per rules, the marks on the answer sheet were required to be punched so that there was no possibility of tampering with the same.

But the IBA violated this rule as well and, instead of punching the marks, the same were written in hand and this was done in order to tamper with the marks, as was done in the case of the petitioner.

It has been contended that wrong answers have been deducted twice which is not allowed under any law and this also amounts to a violation of the provisions of article 13 of the constitution.
