ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday transferred and posted 109 officials of the civic agency.

The reshuffle was made on the direction of new CDA Chairman retired Capt Mohammad Usman.

Sources said that those officials who were serving at a position for more than three years were posted on priority basis.

The sources said the chairman had also directed the wings concerned to prepare lists of all other officers, who are serving on their posts for more than three years.

“We are making these transfers and postings to ensure good governance,” said a CDA officer and added that on Monday, 109 officials of Environment Wing, CDA Hospital and Finance Wing were reshuffled. He said in coming days, the officers of other directorates would also see major reshuffle.

In the past too, the CDA had made attempts to reshuffle officials, but many influential officials, later on managed to get their choice posting back.

“No, this time round, we are very clear, we will not accept any pressure and influence,” the officer said.
