HARIPUR, Dec 20: The court of senior civil judge Haripur on Tuesday issued status quo order against the construction of a mosque in a disputed plot in Khalabat Township and asked the TMA Haripur to file an amended complaint on Dec 22.

The TMA Haripur had filed a suite against Pir Syed Alamzeb Shah, district president of JUI (F) for allegedly planning to occupy the plot measuring 22 kanals at the main chowk and constructing a mosque on it which was originally meant for playground. The court had granted stay against the construction of the mosque some six months back. The court after hearing arguments of both parties issued status quo order till Dec 22 and asked the plaintiff (TMA) to file the amended plea.
