Published December 20, 2005

KARACHI, Dec. 19: The Idara Aman-o-Insaf has urged the authorities to publish the inquiry report regarding attacks on churches and other Christian institutions in Sangla Hill on Nov 12.

In a statement, the NGO said a fact-finding team of the organization had found that a conflict took place over the money lost in gambling and to settle the scores, one party alleged that the other person in the dispute, Yusuf Masih, had desecrated the Holy Quran. Following the allegation, a mob attacked three churches and other church properties, it said.
