KARACHI, Dec 19: An Anti-Terrorism Appellate (ATA) bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC), comprising Justice Muhammad Afzal Soomro and Justice Rahmat Hussain Jafferi, on Monday put off hearing of an appeal filed by Doctors Akmal Waheed and Arsahd Waheed against their conviction and sentence by an ATC for Karachi division till Dec 22.

M. Ilyas Khan, counsel for doctor brothers, commenced his arguments and read out statements of six prosecution witnesses (PWs) before the bench and pointed out that none of the PWs implicated the appellants/ accused and in fact all the evidence on which conviction was recorded can be only dubbed as heresy.—APP
