KARACHI: Illegal structures demolished

KARACHI, Dec 19: The Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) on Monday cancelled the NOC issued for Afnan Duplex Project while the KBCA’s teams demolished and sealed illegal structures in various city areas.

According to the KBCA, the NOC for advertisement and sale in respect of the Afnan Duplex project on Plot No FL-05, Block 3-A, Scheme-36 Gulistan-i-Jauhar was cancelled for violation of building laws, while its booking office was sealed.

The KBCA has cautioned the people not to enter into any deal in this project otherwise they will be responsible for any loss themselves.

In Jamshed Town, illegal structures were sealed on Plot No 39, Maqbool-i-Aam Cooperative Housing Society, Block-3, KCHS Union and Plot No 31-A, C.P. Berar Society, Block 7 and 8.

The KBCA also dismantled illegal partition walls on Plot No 187, Block 7 and 8, C.P. Berar Society while the premises were sealed.

In Malir Town, illegal ground floor partition walls, RCC Columns and stairs were demolished on Plot No 53, Sheet No 2, Model Colony.

Another KBCA squad, demolished illegal ground on the compulsory open space behind Market Quarters on Plot No 48, MR-1 and RCC Columns and roof on first floor.—APP
