Mr Gauhar, who is presently lodged in the Karachi Central Prison, was produced before the Full Bench under the orders of the Court, in connection with the writ petition filed by Mrs Zarina Gauhar, challenging her husband’s detention.

The writ petition filed on his behalf, and three other petitions, involving constitutional points were taken up for regular hearing before the Full Bench of the High Court comprising the Chief Justice, Mr Justice Tufail Ali Abdul Rahman, Mr Justice Mohammad Haleem, and Mr Justice Fakhruddin G.
