Three-goal Taimur is match-winner

LAHORE, Dec 15: Three goals by Taimur Ali Malik supported by a one and half-goal handicap helped National Feeds qualify for the final of the Adisseo Cup polo beating Hi Tech Feeds 7 1/2-6 on Thursday.

The losers made a fine start when Amjad registered a hat trick in the first chukker to give 3- 1 1/2 lead to his side.

The winners struck back and reduced the margin 4-3 1/2 in the second chukker.

Ahmad Tiwana scored two goals for them. Iftikhar Ali Khan Simba struck for the losers.

Hi Tech maintained the lead in the third chukker 5- 4 1/2 as both teams scored a goal each.

Taimur scored his first goal while Sufi Muhammad Haris banged home for the losers.

The fourth chukker saw National dominating the field scoring three goals, two through Taimur and one by Junaid.

Sufi Haris struck for the losers to complete the tally.

In two chukkers’ matches, SB Feeds won both its matches.

Three goals by Agha Murtaza Ali Khan and one by Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana enabled SB to beat Kashmir Feeds 4-1.

Kamran Nooruddin scored the solitary goal for the losers.

Two goals each by Agha and Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana gave SB another win beating Big Feeds 4 -3 1/2.

For the losers, who had half goal handicap, Zain Khakwani, Saeed Aslam Khan and Umar Sadik chipped in with a goal each.
