SAHIWAL, Dec 15: A villager was kidnapped along with his wife for pursuing the murder case of his brother at Chak 20/14-L. The couple was later freed after severe physical torture. Reports said the brother of PML Shahkot vice-president Jafar Husain had been awarded imprisonment in the murder case of brother of Waris.

Waris was pursuing the case in the Supreme Court. Jafar allegedly asked his accomplices Farooq, Ahmed Yar, Mahboob, Mansha, Nabi Bukhsh and Nazir Husain to kidnap Waris and his wife Sardaran. The couple was released after torture at the adjoining forest.

Shahkot police have registered a case against the PML leader and his men under Sections 365, 337, 149, 148 and 109 of the PPC with no arrest.
