KARACHI, Dec 14: Six ships carrying containers and to load naphtha and machinery are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 1o ships were berthed. They are: Kota Wajaya, Kuo Hun and APL Dalian, to unload and load containers, Pacific Express, Thor Spirit, Anjum and Sir G, to unload and load general cargo, Orbit, to load rice, Elli and Stolt Violet, to offload steel coils and chemicals.

Six vessels, Emerald Sea, Hanjin Busan, Rickmers New Orleans, Xiang Rui Men, Farah and Stolt Violet departed on Wednesday, while Anjum, Elli, APl Dalian, Pacific Express, Kuo Hung, Kota Wijaya, Hyundai Future and Royal Crown are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity was active as total tonnage rose to 0.128m tons comprising 19,782 tons of export cargo, including 8,474 tons of rice and 0.109m tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Basavesh Wara, to load 12,000 tons of naphtha, Kota Teguh, CMA CGM Simba, APL Orchid and Iran Shahryar, with containers, and Rambler, to load machinery.
