SOCIAL SCIENCES: There are several misconceptions related to the scope and opportunities of social sciences in Pakistan. These fields are considered less valuable and are believed to offer low-paying jobs at best. Hence, students are reluctant to opt for them. Moreover, many parents force their children to pursue business management, medical or engineering fields as they are considered more respectable and beneficial. Social sciences help students explore and understand the complex human behaviour. Educational institutions should organise awareness sessions about the opportunities this vast field offers and erase all sorts of misconceptions in this regard.

BOYCOTT INTEREST: Our religion has categorically prohibited interest-based dealings, but conventional banks continue to function on the basis of interest. All political parties should take steps to eliminate interest from society so that our economy may gain strength. We need to realise that the country can never prosper while we continue to flout religious injunctions.

FUTURE AT STAKE: Persistent loadshedding has put the future of students at stake, disrupting their momentum and causing anxiety. Many students are unable to focus on their studies or to sleep properly. Students need a peaceful environment to study, and frequent power outages take a heavy toll on their health. The authorities must resolve the energy crisis before it destroys the future of students.

COMMERCE COLLEGE: My sister wants to study commerce after matriculation, but the dilemma is that not a single college in Daharki offers the programme at the intermediate level. The absence of commerce department in local colleges is disappointing. Considering the importance of commerce as a field of study, the authorities should take steps to establish commerce departments in local colleges and provide experienced teachers.
