ISLAMABAD, Dec 13: An officer of the Dutch Marine Corps, 1st Lt Mien Heyman, ran 300 miles to raise money for the October 8 earthquake survivors. A message received here on Tuesday said Mien Heyman collected and donated over 10,000 Euros for the quake victims after completing his marathon on December 10, the day when the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps celebrated its 340th anniversary.

The marine presented his donation to Deputy Commanding General of the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps Brig-Gen Herman van de Til, who is also Pakistan’s charge d’affaires in the Netherlands.
