KARACHI, Dec 13: A two-day central committee meeting of the National Party (NP) began here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch. The meeting of the NP central body specially has been summoned to discuss the current political situation of the country.

Talking to Dawn after Tuesday’ session, NP leader Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch, ex-senator, said the central body took up issues relating to Balochistan’s situation. He said the central committee particularly discussed the law and order situation in the province in view of what he called the “ongoing military operation. He further stated that the forces had been deployed in various parts of the province, including Wadh, Jhalawan, Naushki, Kalat, besides Dera Bugti and Mari areas.
