LAHORE: Unidentified attackers allegedly killed a man and injured his young daughter after making a forced entry into their residence in Johar Town here on Thursday.

The video clips that went viral on social media showed the girl bearing several deep wounds on her face and body of her father Yousuf with blood scattered around it.

The injured girl, Zainab, told the media and the police that she was on the upper portion of her house when some unidentified men carrying clubs and rods came there and attacked her.

She said she got multiple injuries to her head and face and rushed to the washroom and locked it from inside to save her life.

Zainab said she heard the unknown men saying they have killed her father. He was on the ground floor of the house when the incident occurred, she said.

As they fled the scene, she rushed downstairs and found her father killed, she said and declared it the most scary incident of her life.

Zainab’s other sister told the police that she got a WhatsApp call her father made on her mobile phone number saying that some unidentified men have entered forcibly in his house.

She said as the call disconnected, she immediately alerted her husband and the police as well. When they rushed to her father’s house, she found him dead and her sister Zainab injured seriously.

A police official said forensic experts have collected some samples including fingerprints from the crime scene for analysis.

A police team was trying to get CCTV footages of the streets to check movement of the suspects after lodging a case against them.

Meanwhile, the IG Punjab took notice of the incident, directed the Lahore police high-ups to investigate the matter on a priority basis and arrest the suspects as soon as possible.
