ISLAMABAD, Dec 11: An under-trial prisoner escaped from the strictly-guarded Rawalpindi district courts premises on Friday, police said. The accused, identified as Pervez Mohammad, had been booked by Sadiqabad police on charges of possessing illegal weapons. He was brought to the court of Amir Zia Butt when he pushed aside the court staff and escaped. The civil lines police have registered a case against the under-trial prisoner and started investigations.

Meanwhile, four robbers snatched a car (LOA-9743) from Khalil Ahmed at gunpoint in the jurisdiction of Saddar Bairooni police.
