KC ‘A’ and KPI triumph

KARACHI, Dec 10: Pre favourite, Karachi Club (KC) ‘A’, took a flying start in the Haji Karim Dhedhi memorial Inter-club snooker tournament when they notched up a magnificent 9-1 victory over Muslim Gymkhana on the opening day at Amir Bux billiards hall, Karachi Club, on Saturday.

Karachi Club ‘A’ earned three bonus points for winning the lucky seven. Naveen Perwani cracked a break of 63 in the seventh frame.

Karachi Parsi Institute (KPI) overcame Area Snooker Club 6-4. The winners pocketed three bonus points for winning the lucky seven. Kamran slammed a break of 58 in his 66-17 win over Hormuzd in the fourth frame.

Behram Mana – Hormuzd Mana lost to Kamran - Farrukh 22-64; Azdiar Mobed – Farzad bt Salman – Imran Yousuf 61-28; Azdiar Mobed bt Farrukh 75-37; Hormuzd Mana lost to Kamran 17-66; Farzad bt Imran Yousuf 63-45; Behram Mana lost to Salman 52-68 Azdiar Mobed bt Farrukh 69-49.

Sunday’s fixtures: KC ‘C’ v Muslim Gymkhana; KC ‘B’ v KPI at 4.00pm; KC ‘E’ v Aga Khan Gymkhana; KC ‘D’ v Karachi Gymkhana at 5.30pm.
