LAHORE: The All Pakistan Workers Confederation has demanded the government review increase in petrol prices in order to prevent price hike of essential commodities.

In a meeting held at the Labour Hall, it was demanded that the government should raise funds by taxing the elites and feudal lords instead of raising oil prices.

The workers urged the government to implement the decision of raising minimum wages of workers.

The meeting was addressed, among others, by trade union leader Khurshid Ahmad, Rubina Jamil and Osama Tariq.
