KARACHI, Dec 8: A five-member delegation of the Association of Former Diplomats of China (AFDC) visited the Pakistan Institute of International Affairs (PIIA) here on Thursday.

The delegation, led by its president Cai Fanghai, is on a week- long visit to Pakistan.

At the PIIA here on Thursday, the members of the delegation discussed matters pertaining to Sino-Pakistan ties, as well as Indo- Pak relations with the members of the PIIA.

They said Pakistan and China enjoy exemplary friendship and with the exchange of delegations such ties would improve further.

The members of the delegation also spoke of the improvements that being made in the relations of the two countries in economic and other fields.

They were of the view that the issue of Kashmir between Pakistan and India should be resolved through peaceful means with a process of dialogue.

Earlier, the Chairman of the PIIA, Fatehyab Ali Khan, welcomed the members of the Chinese delegation. He also pointed out that China is a time-tested friend of Pakistan.

The other members of the visiting Chinese delegation are: Zhang Chengli, Tang Mingxin, Zheng Dayong and ChenWenzhao.—APP
