LAHORE: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Chairman Dr Mirza Habib Ali on Saturday suspended a superintendent and deputy superintendent from service over negligence in duty during the metric exam.

The chairman and his squad inspected the Model Town examination centre and found superintendent Amanat Ali and deputy superintendent Sakhawat Ali using their cell phones in violation of an official ban. The chairman removed the entire examination centre staff and ordered an inquiry into the matter.

During inspection of the Superior College, Raiwind, and Gulshan-e-Ravi centres, the chairman caught two students cheating and ordered action against them.
