How to know your friends and enemies

This is regarding the cover story “How to know your friends and enemies” by Umema Imran (YW, April 23). I found this article very relevant, concerning and alarming at the same time, since I am experiencing the same situation. I couldn’t make myself act wisely regarding the kinds of friends I have, but after reading this article, it motivated me take actions to keep friends who really care about me.

I am an avid reader of YW magazine, it always provides awareness about real-life scenarios and rewards us with good reading material to make our days enjoyable.

Time to wake up

This is regarding the article, “Time to wake up” by Salar Ali (YW, April 23). The story delivers a serious message regarding the plantation of more trees and a clean environment. I appreciate the writer for writing on the vital topic of pollution in the environment, especially fog and measures to control it.

No doubt, pollution is a global issue nowadays. When population increases, global warming also increases, leading to dire consequences. The story suggested some solutions to overcome fog and other environmental pollution by planting more trees, cleaning the environment and by recycling.

After reading this story, I have decided to plant at least five trees every month and I will take care of these trees until they are old enough to survive themselves.

This is regarding the article “Time to wake up” by Salar Ali.

I agree with the writer that air pollution is one of the worst problems facing all living things on earth.

There is an urgent need for awareness in our society about this burning issue. Furthermore, laws should be strictly implemented for smooth running of factories, vehicles etc., to save the loss of human lives. We should plant more trees and make the environment cleaner.

The article “Time to wake up” by Salar Ali urges the readers to open their eyes and observe the atmosphere of the earth right now and what it can be in the future.

The writer also gave some solutions to curb pollution in the environment. Therefore, it’s necessary for all of us to avoid things which create pollution, otherwise it will be a tragic situation for all living things on earth. If humans have created pollution, then they must control it.
