DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 7: The District Development Committee has sanctioned Rs26 million for 150 development projects. This was stated by District Coordination Officer Khuda Dad Khan Mehsud while speaking at a meeting here on Wednesday.

Executive District Officer (finance and planning) Anwar Khan and officers of the National Reconstructions Bureau attended the meeting.

The DCO said that the funds would be spent on different projects in education and other sectors.

MAN DROWNS: A man drowned into the Chashma Right Bank Canal on Wednesday, police said.

Ghulam Rasool, resident of Ezui Khail, was coming home after attending a marriage ceremony. On the way, he tried to drink water from the canal but could not maintain balance and slipped into it.

Police and local divers were trying to recover his body. —-APP
