GILGIT: Gilgit-Baltistan Information Minister Fataullah Khan has said the “rejected” parties are hatching conspiracies against the elected government to paralyse the development process in the region.
Reacting to the opposition parties’ claims to move a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid, he said the move fail badly, according to a press release issued by the GB information department.
Mr Fataullah said GB people had elected the PTI government though vote to put their region on the path of development.
The information minister said GB people won’t let any undemocratic move against a democratically-elected government succeed. He claimed that toppling the GB government was not possible for a handful of opposition members and that the local people won’t accept such a move.
“Development process has started in GB under the PTI government,” he said, adding people had rejected these parties in the elections on the basis of their poor performance, and won’t trust them again. He said PTI enjoyed a big majority in GB Assembly and no such attempt would be successful.
Fataullah Khan said days of the “imported” government in Pakistan were also numbered.
He said the people of GB stood with Imran Khan.
