QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has approved additional funds of Rs300 million for emergency completion of ongoing water supply projects in Dera Bugti district.

The chief minister in a meeting with provincial adviser Nawabzada Ghuram Bugti discussed the solution of the water crisis in different areas of Dera Bugti district.

He said all resources are being utilised for resolving the water crisis issue in Pir Koh, Zain Koh and Sui areas of Dera Bugti district and with the commencement of emergency water supply in affected areas. Controlling epidemics and providing health facilities are also being ensured.

Mr Bugti thanked the chief minister for his personal interest and practical steps towards resolving the serious water issue.

The chief minister directed the Department of Planning and Development and the Department of Finance to ensure prompt disbursement of funds.

Instructing the Secretary PHE to reach Dera Bugti, he asked the secretaries of the concerned departments to stay in Dera Bugti till the issue is resolved.
