Export cargo rates reduced

SIALKOT, Dec 7: The Sialkot Dry Port Trust has reduced the bonded cargo transport rates by Rs6,000 and Rs3,000 for a 40-ft and 20-ft container respectively. The new rates reduced under a special package of incentives for exporters will come into effect from December 10.

Chairman, Sialkot Dry Port, Mehboob A. Shaikh, told newsmen here on Wednesday that the new cargo rates would apply on all export cargo transported from the Sialkot Dry Port to the Karachi Port. Under the new rates exporters will pay Rs13,000 instead of Rs19,000 on a 40-ft container.
