ISLAMABAD, Dec 6: A sub-committee constituted by the Senate Standing Committee on Sports on Tuesday inspected two of Capital Development’s road projects that threaten to eat up several playgrounds.

The committee headed by Senator Saeed Siddiqui told the officials of CDA to sit together with the sports managers in order to find a viable solution to the problem.

“The CDA has been asked to come back to us with a proposal on the 12th after talking to the sports officials,” Senator Muhammad Enver Baig, a member of the sub-committee said.

“If the two parties fail to reach an agreement, then we will decide the case on merit and give our recommendations.”

The Senate Standing Committee on Sports had ordered suspension of work on the road projects during its meeting on Dec 1.
