KASUR: Pattoki police on Tuesday arrested a man over allegation of desecrating the Holy Quran and lodged a case under blasphemy law’s section 295-B of the Pakistan Penal code.

According to complainant Inspector Ahmed Hassan, a private person informed police at 15 that a man was desecrating the holy book in Multan Road area.

Police reached the spot and found the suspect putting the Quran in a bag along with two pairs of shoes and some trash.

The police arrested him and shifted him to an undisclosed location.

KITE: A youth was hospitalised after he was critically injured by kite string near Melad Chowk, in the limits of Kot Radha Kishan police station.

Muhammad Shahid, an employ at a local private hospital, was injured when he left his house on Thursday on his bike.

Shahid was later referred to Lahore due to his critical condition.
