LOWER DIR: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has said that the people should support his party in next general elections as there is no difference between the governments of Shehbaz Sharif and Imran Khan.

Addressing an Eid Milan party in Talash and later monthly congregation of his party at Ahyaul Uloom Balambat as chief guest here on Thursday, he said that his party was different from both Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Democratic Movement as it was struggling for the enforcement of Sharia in the country to ensure true welfare of the people.

The JI chief said that soon after forming government finance minister Miftah Ismail hurried to the IMF as had been done by the PTI government’s minister Asad Umar.

He claimed that JI could bring a real change in the society and politics and as such the people should support it in the next general elections. He added that his party was different from PPP, PML-N and PTI who were working only for worldly success.

“Our main focus is on our success in the world hereafter for which we struggle day and night,” Mr Haq said.

The JI chief asked his party workers to strictly follow the routine of Ramazan in rest of the months. Several political workers led by Nageen Khan announced to join the JI on the occasion.

RESCUE SERVICES: Rescue 1122 district emergency officer Ibrar Ali said here on Thursday that a total of 216 individuals were provided with emergency services during Ramazan.

Talking to mediapersons, he said that 41 road accidents, 150 medical emergencies, 16 house fires, three firing cases and four drowning and one house collapse incidents were reported to the service during the month. He said the emergency and medical staff of the service also remained present during Eid holidays to ensure swift response during emergencies.
