KARACHI, Jan 27: Zebra crossings will be painted in various parts of the city for providing a facility to pedestrians to cross the roads.

In this regard, transport and communication department of the city will start work on Monday from Karachi University.

In peak hours these zebra crossings will be controlled by the traffic police.

The areas which have been first selected for zebra crossings include Urdu Science College, New Town Police Station, University Road, Liaquat National Hospital, Stadium Road, MA Jinah Road, NJV School, MBM School Daudpota Road, Habib Girls School Aga Khan Road, Gulbahar No 2, Nazimabad No 6 and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.—APP
